Destiny Hodges {Portraits| Tacoma, Wa Portrait Photographer}
7 JanDestiny…what can I say about her? She is a lovely YOUNG lady and, yes, the fact that I emphasize that is of the utmost importance give that she is a young lady of fourteen years. I’ve gotten to know her over the past few years and I met her through her mama who is equally fabulous. I admire Destiny for a variety of reasons. She is sweet, and I mean, legit sweet. Her heart is genuine and what’s more that I admire is her heart for God. She has a sassy attitude at times, so I hear from her mother though I’ve not seen it rear it’s ugly side much. I have thoroughly enjoyed having her around as she truly lights up my life. Wait til you get a load of this girl’s smile. It is insanely gorgeous! And would you believe the natural beauty she is? You’d better believe it, honey!
Her shoot was a birthday gift. She came to me during her birthday month and asked, “Auntie…would you maybe do a photoshoot with me?” to which, OBVIOUSLY, I responded with an astounding, “YES!” The catch was that her mama said she had to pay for it out of pocket. Being that she was just turning 14, I hadn’t seen how she was going to make it happen. So, with that said, I thought, this would be a great gift. She is very fashion savvy and always well accessorized and could be America’s Next Top Model. Yeah…it just got real! We were waiting for a sunny day because this winter weather of Washington (say that five times fast!) was NOT gonna cut it. Raincheck…no pun intended…HA! So finally, three months later, the day came. Though it was still cold outside, we were expecting intermittent sun. Well, that really didn’t happen until near the end of her shoot. However, we did get some really awesome fog…London style. We headed out to Steilacoom Park which provides a wide variety of awesome backdrops and just had at it. Destiny was a great sport despite the cold. I had so much fun and was uber pleased with the results. More importantly, I think she is pretty pleased with how fabulous she looked in her photos. Not much more to say since, as always, the pictures speak for themselves. Have a peak!
