Rosa {King’s Books| Tacoma Boudoir/Glamour Photographer}

10 Apr

Ladies and gentlemen…I give you Rosa! She is one of the most talented, innovative, creative, go-getter women I know of. And…she’s my cousin! Okay, okay…she’s kinda my cousin. She’s my husband’s cousin’s wife. Same thing right? So do you totally love her little hat/fascinator? How about her corset? Get this…she made them both. What’s more is she is a photographer, fashion designer, nurse, business owner and the list goes on. Believe me, she is a total renaissance woman. Getting back to this shoot, though. We went to a place she frequents. It’s King’s Books in downtown Tacoma. I walked in and to my surprise there was a cat sitting on a table immediately to my right and the sales associate was an anti-social hipster. I’m not gonna trip about that. People are who they are and I’m a  mix of introvert and extrovert so I get it. I walked in, pet the cat who was super social, and started scoping for light. There were some really cool used books and old tables and a variety of old chairs that looked like they may have come from a multitude of basements…from the sixties. Not sure that’s the case but they were pretty awesome as far as I’m concerned. Rosa showed up looking gorgeous as always sans makeup. We glammed her up a bit and got to work. She didn’t really need any makeup. She is seriously gorgeous without but given the nature of this shoot, we went another route. You can check her out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/tortilladesigns if you’re interested in her design work. This was such a blast. Thank you, Rosa for giving me the opportunity to do this shoot with you!

Without further adieu…Rosa.
