Andrea Marie {Senior Photo Session – c/o 2013 Spanaway Lake High School}

10 Oct

Fall is here and I’d love to share with you all how I broke into it. I did a fun senior session with my baby sister. Hmmm…baby. Yeah, right! She just happens to be nearly eight inches taller than me, but whatever. Onto the next! =)
I may be a little biased because this is my sister but I am absolutely thrilled with the way this session went. I don’t think I can say that enough! That’s why there are so many photos posted from this session. It was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to my favorites and I nearly NEVER share all my favorites on the blog, but I can’t help myself. I’m a glutton for punishment, I suppose. HA!

I say this with total and utter joy; my sister is in her senior year! Andrea Marie will be a part of the graduating class of 2013 at Spanaway Lake High School. I cannot say how proud I am of her. She has worked so hard just to make it this far. She’s seen things in the past 4 years I don’t wish on anyone and despite it all, she managed to make it this far, and no doubt she will continue to pursue her goals. She’s got a full academic load but I’m positive she’ll do great!
During her shoot I told Andrea how beautiful she looked and she said it was a good thing I did her makeup. WELL, to that I had to say, “It’s not the makeup. It’s YOU! It’s your eyes, your smile. You’re beautiful!” And that she is. I couldn’t get enough of this session and not because she’s my sister. I’ve made mention of this before but I’m not kind enough to lie to spare feelings. I’d rather say nothing at all if it means the truth will hurt. Unless it’s necessary of course. I literally said “oooohh” or “aaahhh” for every photo I stopped to look at. I’m so honored to have had this opportunity to capture forever this moment in time: to capture her beauty.
I was also totally stoked to find that Andrea was game for anything I asked her to do during her shoot. It can be weird asking people to step outside their box sometimes but don’t assume you know what defines outside the box for them. I can’t wait to do another shoot with her.
Andrea absolutely radiates beauty from the outside in. She’s a spunky, silly, feisty, ball of fire and at times, she drives me absolutely NUTS! I’m sure mom will vouch for her abilities in that area. But, I couldn’t imagine my life without her. I love my little, but bigger than me, sissy!
Andrea even made her own tutu for her senior spirit week at school. The t-shirt is an original, also. She spent hours putting it all together. If there’s one thing I know, when this girl wants to do something, she does it. No excuses. She gets it done.
Congratulations on making it this far, Andrea. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for allowing me to spend this time with you, as I know how incredibly busy you are and will be. I have absolute faith in you. I more than look forward to attending your graduation and I’ll be hootin’ and hollerin’ and cheering you on. Stay motivated, dedicated and driven, baby girl. Don’t let anyone or anything get in the way of your success. Love you!

    The day this photo shot took place was an excitement to me because i got to watch my oldest daughter practice her trade and the subject was my youngest daughter. I am amazed at the professionalism that Christina displayed. These are the best pictures that i have ever seen of my youngest daughter. I can’t wait for the next time. Thank you, Christina. I don’t care if you’re my daughter, I love these pictures. Very few days in your life you will remember forever. This is one of them. I can’t wait to see more of your work. It keeps getting better and better.
